Welcome back to everyone for Term 4. It is good to see most of the students motivated to learn after the holidays.

In the beginning of this term (Week One), I sent home for all the parents, the Unit Outline, i.e. the list of the topics students will study in Term 4, for R&V text books and Memorisation. The Unit Outline provides you with information on what students will be learning throughout this term in their R&V classes.

This week, Year 6 students are studying the duties and responsibilities towards the families and the teachings of the holy prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).

Year 5 students are learning how Muslims should show compassion towards orphans and others in need. They are also learning the topics of respect, obedience, patience by doing various activities in class e.g. research, watching videos, role play etc. (refer to the pictures).

Year 4 students have been learning about the topics of ‘Responsibility, Respect and Honesty’. The Year 2 and 3 students have been learning about the qualities of good Muslims and beautiful ethics of our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

Year 1 students are working on Unit 4, Chapter 3 “Greeting One Another”. They are learning how Muslims should greet each other and how students should greet their parents when they go home.

Foundation students have been learning about the Five Pillars of Islam and their significance for Muslims. The students will explore each Pillar of Islam in more detail throughout this term by doing different activities and watching various videos.

I would like to thank all the parents who attended the parent teacher interviews. It was a great opportunity to communicate about your child’s progress academically and socially.
